Remember COVID?!? I think we all can quickly remember those days, even if we tried to block them out. The pandemic was particualrly hard for families with small children. This project was a COVID inspired project. My clients asked me to turn their basement into a space where their small children could have the freedom to play during the day and where they could have the freedom to relax at night. In order to make this happen, we had to center the design on two things: a) zones b) organization. Each corner of this small basement was utilized to its fullest potential. One corner boasts the TV and a sectional, while the opposing corner has an L-shaped bench and a round table to crafting. The opposite side of the room has a key board for practicing music and a tall cabinet for toy storage. This basement is now the ultimate adult and kiddo getaway!
